2012-06-06 Updated some information on this website.

2000-04-15 We just moved into a new web server - www.charity.lt  

Our charity Foundation "Kristus Tautoms" changed it's name into charity foundation "Romumas" on June 24th, 1999. Now all charity or correspondence sent to us should be addressed to:

Briefly, the Lithuanian word "romumas" means "meekness", "gentleness" or "forbearing spirit" in English (one of the equivalents in the New Testament Greek is word "praupathia"), as we read in these verses from the Bible (NASB):

2CO 10:1 Now I, Paul, myself urge you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ-- I who am meek when face to face with you, but bold toward you when absent!

MAT 5:5 ¶ "Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.

1PE 3:4 but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.

GAL 5:23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

GAL 6:1 Brethren, even if a man is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, lest you too be tempted.

PHI 4:5 Let your forbearing spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.

COL 3:12 ¶ And so, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;

1TI 6:11 ¶ But flee from these things, you man of God; and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness.


It is our prayer, that we and our work could be characterized by this new name.
